The exhibition dedicated to the end of the Battle for Leningrad (that was what our city was called during World War II) took place in the very center of our city. It was organized by the museum of The Battle for Leningrad. All the exhibits are still in working condition. Visitors of the exhibition could climb the tanks. The goal of the exhibition is to introduce the new date to WW II. Some of historians believe that the operation to save the city ended on the 9th of August 1944.
One of the tanks was lifted from the bottom of the Neva River, the main river of our city. At the exhibition people could find out the history of tanks, how they functioned and what happened to people that fought in them.
